NEXT GENERATION OF DISCIPLES YOUTH MINISTRY
Our Youth Ministry program, the Next Generation of Disciples (NGD), seeks to bring teens to closer relationship with Christ through fellowship, fun activities, and faith-building. Our program incorporates weekly meetings, service opportunities, and parish involvement. We welcome all high schoolers, regardless of their level of experience with Catholicism. Christ opened His arms for any who would come to Him, and so do we.

Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro
Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro was born in 1891 in Guadalupe de Zacatecas, Mexico. He joined the Jesuits in 1911, but fled to Spain three years later because of religious persecution in his home country. He was ordained a priest in Belgium in 1925. Upon his ordination, he immediately returned to Mexico, where he became the shepherd of a flock forced to hide. There was intense, violent persecution of Catholics by the Mexican government, and Father Pro was forced to celebrate the Eucharist and minister the other Sacraments in secret to small groups of Catholics. Sadly, he was eventually caught and arrested on false charges of plotting to assassinate the Mexican President. Miguel was sentenced to face a firing squad on November 23rd, 1927. After his death, his funeral became a defiant and public show of faith for thousands of Catholics. He was beatified in 1988 by Pope John Paul II, and we pray for his canonization to this day.
